This Preserve (State Park) is for those who want to get away from it all. It is a 5 mile ride from the entrance to the camping area and about 30 miles from the camping area to the nearest town(Okeechobee) so bring what you're going to need. Beautiful sunsets and dark nights. Miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horse riding, but as this is a preserve most trails are within flatlands with little shade. In my opinion this park is best if you just want to do the get away and do the camp out - camp fire thing.
