This hike explores a remote section of Hillsborough River State Park. After leaving the busy day-use area, the hike crosses to the north side of the Hillsborough River and then heads downstream through a swamp forest. Watery views extend for a long distance with an everywhere-you-look beauty. Eventually the hike leaves the river, but it stays in the floodplain woodland, where ancient live oaks and huge cypress trees live.
