Rocky Bayou Double Loop Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Old-growth longleaf pine, some over 300 years old, are the highlight of the Rocky Bayou Loop. The trail is actually a double loop, with the first loop taking you to the lovely banks of Rocky Bayou and the second loop taking you to the freshwater bayou and wetland formerly known as Puddin’ Head Lake.
Nestled along the banks of Rocky Bayou is this 357-acre state park, the Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park, or better known to the locals simply as Rocky Bayou. The park features just over 3 miles of hiking trails, the longest of which is this double loop, what we call the Rocky Bayou Double Loop."
