Lithia Springs Park Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This Hillsborough County park has a lot of natural beauty with which to work. Begin with an attractive piece of terra firma in a gorgeous oak forest situated along a brooding river, then add a crystalline spring emitting 24,000,000 gallons a day, and you have Lithia Springs Park. Now, drop in a campground with just the right number of sites, then stretch the sites well apart underneath the oaks and along the river. Spread crushed shells at each site; then put in water, electricity, a picnic table, and a fire ring for every camp. Add an infrastructure including two nice bathhouses, sprinkle in a few trails, a playground, a picnic area, a designated swimming area, and a canoe launch.
The campground is spaced out along a paved loop road with numerous speed bumps. Nothing special about that. It is the sites and the setting in which they lie that makes this a desirable destination. Whether you opt for the river or the springs, your base camp at Lithia Springs park will be a winner."
