Gold Head Branch State Park Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Rolling hills in Florida? Yeah, that’s right. Gold Head Branch State Park is located on what is known as the central ridge of Florida and boasts some serious elevation changes by Sunshine State standards. Steep ravines cut into these hills, adding more vertical variation. The small campground is located on a hill and rests in flora native to this broken terrain."

The family spent a weekend here during June. It's a nice park and the playground is great for the kids. The bathroom facilities were clean enough and just a short trip away. We'd hoped for more interesting trails. I think we finished them up in about 10 min. I'd say it's a nice park for a day trip but I think there are nicer areas for longer stays.
