This 2,241-acre park is one of Florida’s great water parks. Nine named springs known as the Ichetucknee group combine to create the incredibly clear Ichetucknee River. The river, fed by about 233 million gallons of fresh water daily, flows for 6 miles through swamp and hammock communities before joining the Santa Fe River. The head spring was declared a National Natural Landmark by the U.S. Department of the Interior in 1972.
