Watch for USCG marker 10 at the entrance to Tarpon Creek. Paddle south down the creek to USCG marker 8, where the creek enters Coot Bay. USCG markers 6 to 3 lead southeast across the bay, and USCG markers 2 and 1 (a green floating barrel) indicate the entrance to the Buttonwood Canal (see page 246).
