Barron River, East Fork Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is a pleasant, easy paddle with some nesting birds along the way. You will take different forks along the river, paddling in a leisurely loop. Enjoy the short jaunt as you view the wildlife.

Launch from the gravel just off FL 29. Follow the river past the national park marker and turn right to enter the east fork. Continue on this route, heading south and east. Head south approximately 0.5 mile and then meander your canoe or kayak northeast. Continue paddling until you come to a fork, the first of several forks in the river. Take the east channel."
