Jacksonville-Baldwin Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Located west of Jacksonville’s downtown core, the Jacksonville- Baldwin Rail-Trail provides 14.5 miles of multiuse pathway with a variety of landscapes, including
wetlands, forests, and cornfields.

The route, built on a former CSX right-of-way, crosses the McGirts and Brandy Branch Creeks as it extends west to the small town of Baldwin. Plans are in the works to connect the trail to neighboring recreational and ecological corridors."

This is a flat trail with lots of bicyclists but it's nice for jogging and walking too. It's nice and shady with some wetland views. Be prepared to see wildlife, including alligators, turtles and snakes. There's a bathroom about halfway in which is a nice addition if you plan to do the entire length of the trail.
