Churchhouse Hammock Trail

Churchhouse Hammock Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Just across the highway from the Crystal River Mall, a beautiful thick palm and cedar hammock awaits you on the Churchhouse Hammock Trail as it winds its way to a saw grass marsh. Along the route you will most likely see gopher tortoises and evidence of the region’s karst limestone topography. A portion of the trail is boardwalk and ADA-accessible.

It’s called Florida’s “Nature Coast,” a section of the state that is world-renowned for its outdoor adventure. Along what used to be called the “Big Bend” between Wakulla County and Pasco County, there is an amazing array of outdoor recreational opportunities waiting for you: Snorkeling, scuba diving, scalloping, swimming with manatees—if you love the outdoors, this is the happenin’ place."
