This is one of the finest segments of the entire Florida Trail, which runs for 1,100-plus miles through the Sunshine State. Here the path meanders alongside a blackwater stream in a forest ranging from cypress to live oak to pine. Side streams cut deep ravines, making for challenging undulations. Beyond the Sopchoppy River, you’ll climb through evergreens to end at Monkey Creek.
