North End Trail - Manatee Springs State Park

North End Trail - Manatee Springs State Park Professional Review and Guide

"The highlight of 2,075-acre Manatee Springs State Park is a first-magnitude spring that produces 81,280 gallons of water every minute, or about 117 million gallons each day. Manatees are infrequently seen these days. Scuba diving and snorkeling are permitted in the spring boil. A boardwalk flanks the southern end of the run, passing through a thick cypress swamp to the Suwannee River.

These are two short nature trails through hammock and sandhill habitats, and a boardwalk tour along a clear spring run. Special Attractions: The opportunity to swim in the clear, constant, seventy-two-degree spring. Hiking and biking on the 8.5-mile north end trail system."
