Flagler County Parks Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This remote 1,005-acre park borders Haw Creek, which flows into Dead and Crescent Lakes and past the marshy Mud Lake for approximately 2 miles along its southern boundary. It retains a wild flavor, perhaps because it is not overpublicized.

Haw Creek is thickly lined with Mayhaw trees, which produce the small applelike fruit from which the creek gets its name. The fruit is popular for making jelly. A winding boardwalk overlooking the creek preserves the cypress, oak, and hardwood swamp along the water."
