Western Ridge Trail

Western Ridge Trail is a hiking, biking, and horse trail in Washington, District of Columbia. It is within Rock Creek Park and Piney Branch Parkway. It is 3.7 miles long and begins at 74 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 4.5 miles with a total elevation gain of 877 feet. The Rock Creek Park Nature Center and Planetarium (elevation 341 feet) museum can be seen along the trail. There are also parkings, picnic sites, drinking water, and a shelter along the trail. This trail connects with the following: Pinehurst Branch, Valley Trail and Dim Trail.
