Balanced Rock Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"Naturally, anyone visiting Natural Bridge State Resort Park is going to visit the namesake of the park, the soaring sandstone arch rising above the forest. Chances are that if they are tourists, they will climb to see the sights via the Original Trail, arguably the most popular trail in the entire state of Kentucky. But there are other ways to get to Natural Bridge. The Balanced Rock Trail is one of those ways, and it will quickly weed out the unambitious. Following the route of the famous Sheltowee Trace, this trail literally climbs, via what seems like a continuous stone stairway, nearly 500 feet in just over 0.5 mile."
