Ground had crusty snow and ice when Aaron and I went (2-17-17). Start of trail (jesse gerard) was very steep and slick, with some great ice formations.3 very nice views from the top, really good this time of year with no leaves. Lost the trail where it would cross a road several times, map leaves something to be desired. Several snowmobilers were out, making too much noise, but I guess they need to have a place to go too, and this is one of the few legal offroading areas in the state. Overall a really nice hike with some great vistas. Reminded aaron and me of a cross between macedonia and bear. Pictures here tell the story better than I can.
