Located in the northwest corner of Arcadia Management area, Stepstone Falls is Rhode Island’s most scenic waterfall. A wonderful choice for visitors of all ages, this hike is enjoyable year-round, but is especially alluring in the spring with water rushing, wildflowers bursting into bloom, hungry deer browsing, and abundant songbirds warbling. In addition to its many natural charms, the journey also highlights numerous historical features including two mill sites, stone walls, and the remains of a quarry. (Note: The state has specific blazeorange requirements for visitors during hunting season, and road access may be limited during winter.)
