Appalachian Trail is a hiking trail in Connecticut and New York. It is within Pawling Nature Reserve, Town of Pawling Property, NYS and/or United States of America Property, Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park, Depot Hill Multiple Use Area, and United States of America Property. It is 54.5 miles long and begins at 950 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 25.9 miles with a total elevation gain of 7,720 feet. Near the trailhead there is a parking. The Stewart Hollow Brook Lean-to, Telephone Pioneers Shelter, Morgan Stewart Memorial Shelter, Mt. Algo Lean-to, Wiley Shelter, and RPH Shelter shelters, Cats Rock and other viewpoints, Tenmile Hill (elevation 991 feet), Mount Algo (elevation 1,138 feet), and Shenandoah Mountain (elevation 1,096 feet), and the Appalachian Trail parking can be seen along the trail. There are also springs and restrooms along the trail.
