Nayantaquit Trail/Uncas Pond Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"In Nehantic State Forest, southeast of Hadlyme, this rolling loop passes through a gentle terrain of low ridges and mixed forest, serving up solitude and relaxation. Wildlife sightings, historic stone walls and old foundations, and the forest’s many color shades and shapes are the hike’s beguilements. Midway, a side trip to the deep clear waters of Uncas Pond beckons a picnic lunch or a quick swim."
