Case Mountain: Road Bike Loop Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Manchester is a great town for Hartford-area cyclists seeking rural, naturally scenic riding routes. This ride provides an alternative take on Case Mountain, previously detailed as a prime mountain biking destination in Ride 6, to showcase the long, well-maintained local roads that are popular with area road cyclists.
This route approaches the Glastonbury Orchards ride near the intersection of CT 94 and CT 83. Cyclists looking to add more than 20 miles, for a 34-mile figure-eight, should take a left onto CT 83 and then a right onto Brook Street, and follow the maps from Glastonbury Orchards (Ride 8). This 13.6-mile ride starts off with a long stretch of climbing, comprising the majority of more than 1,000 feet of elevation gain. After the first 4.5 miles of climbing, the rest of the ride is comfortably rolling, downhill, or flat."
