Selden Neck Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"There is absolutely no way you’ll find an RV at the Selden Neck Campground, in Gillette Castle State Park. It has no designated tent-only areas, and no inherent rules or regulations prohibiting them, but until someone invents an RV that floats, Selden Neck is just for tent camping. You can reach the park and the campground only by boat.
This fabulously peaceful little state park is perched on the northern corner of a small island separated from the banks of the Connecticut River by Selden Creek. The campsites are right on the river, and there are no docks, moorings, or facilities other than fireplaces and pit toilets. You’ll have to approach the campsite with a small watercraft. Whether you choose a sailboat, a motorboat, or, better yet, a canoe or kayak, is entirely up to you."
