Dean Ravine and Barrack Mountain Trail

Dean Ravine and Barrack Mountain Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"In New England, they say that if today’s weather doesn’t suit you, just wait a few weeks—it’s sure to change. On this hike, if a particular section of trail doesn’t inspire you, just walk a few tenths of a mile—it’ll change.

Climb from a cool ravine through a heavily wooded section across a boulder field to a steep, exposed ridge. Even the temperature changes as you hike from the “air-conditioned” ravine to the exposed summit. This hike holds something for everyone, provided “everyone” is outfitted with proper hiking gear and has had some trail experience."
