Pole Bridge Trail #264 Professional Reviews and Guides
"The Chiricahua Mountains are home to a number of plants and animals that are not normally found in the United States. Fauna such as the Apache fox squirrel and the Mexican chickadee are often spotted in the Chiricahuas. Tree species such as the Chihuahua pine are also found in these mountains. The Pole Bridge Research Natural Area was designated to protect a sampling of the Chiricahuas’ unusual collection of flora and fauna. Encompassing a short yet steep drainage, the area is accessed by the Pole Bridge Trail."
