Windom Peak

Weminuche Wilderness Area, Colorado

Windom Peak

Windom Peak Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Weminuche is, quite simply, Colorado’s greatest wilderness area. Encompassing roughly 500,000 acres of terrain, this region is home to a vast land of deep valleys, roaring rivers, dense forests, and dramatic peaks.

If you were to look up the definition of adventure, the words Weminuche Wilderness would probably show up. Few places encapsulate the absolute best of what Colorado has to offer better than the Weminuche. Due to difficult access, long approaches, obscure lines, and the immense size of the area, the Weminuche has gone largely unexplored on skis."
