Mount Lindsey Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Mount Lindsey is a shy and humble peak located roughly 10 miles north of Fort Garland in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Like its other fourteener compatriots, Lindsey sees a good amount of summer traffic along its standard route from Lily Lake. In the spring, however, after a good snow year, Mount Lindsey is transformed into a gorgeous snowcapped dome that features both challenge and solitude.
Lindsey is not often first thought of for its aesthetics or its potential as a skier’s mountain, but there is in fact great skiing to be had off its northern aspects during the proper time of year. Though relatively difficult to access compared to other descents in this book, Lindsey’s North Couloir is well worth the effort, as it can provide nearly 2,000 feet of moderate-angle turns off the true summit of the peak."
