Mahler Mountain Trail

Mahler Mountain Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Though higher and more challenging than Seven Utes, Mount Mahler affords you panoramic views of Mount Richthofen and the Diamond Peaks, as well as a unique view of the Never Summer Range, the Zirkels, and the Medicine Bow mountain ranges. It is a real mountain, while Seven Utes is just an impressive subpeak—the additional panorama is worth the extra effort.

From the summit of Mahler, you can see Mount Richthofen, the Crags shoulder, another and the end of the Never Summer Range, including Static Peak and Teepee Mountain, and can glimpse the edge of North Park. Graced with stately, tall pine trees, the trailhead is at the old Seven Utes Lodge site driveway; the lodge is long gone and there are no longer any signs or markers for it."
