The easy rating is misleading. Most people won’t find an elevation gain of 1000 ft/mile “easy.” Who’s doing the ratings, professional climbers? I’ve done this trail several times. As a fit, experienced hiker, I’ve never felt it was easy.

A nice little hike for a flatlander on the first day up in the mountains. Steeper than I thought it would be. The "ghost towns" are not even visible so don't expect to see anything in that regard. Nice vista at the summit but you really need to take the trail off to the right to the outcropping of rocks. I saw children hiking but some were struggling.
