Steamboat Gravel Grinder Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This great loop starts from Steamboat Springs, embarks on rolling Twenty-mile Road, peruses some gentle dirt roads, and returns along the river. Steamboat Springs is in its own beautiful world up here. This is the north country, where Colorado starts to turn into Wyoming. Low hills and big skies.
Along Twenty-mile Road of aspen glittering orange and yellow in the September sun, looking down on gently flowing sage-covered slopes. Steamboat, sitting at 6,800 feet above sea level, is the coolest town in Colorado’s northern mountains. Now known primarily for the sparkling powder on its ski slopes, the town began as a cluster of cabins in the 1870s, when the Utes still ruled the valley."
