Upper Roubideau Area Loop

Upper Roubideau Area Loop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This hike explores the upper section of the Roubideau Area, a special part of the Uncompahgre Plateau. First descend on Old Roubideau Trail (Trail 105) from (Gray) Cow Camp to Pool Creek. Aspen trees abound for a beautiful fall hike.

After reaching Pool Creek Trail (Trail 113), the trail ascends along tiny Pool Creek through forests of aspen and spruce-fir. The point-to-point hike ends at Pool Creek Trailhead, or you can loop back to Old Roubideau Trailhead via the Parallel Trail (Trail 139). The trail disappears in numerous places so only attempt this hike if you like route-finding challenges."
