Conejos River Semiloop

Conejos River Semiloop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Hike this loop, and you’re bound to feel as though you’ve seen it all. There’s everything from the beautiful Conejos River drainage to Conejos Falls, a hike on the Continental Divide Trail (CDT), and views from more than 12,000 feet in elevation. In addition, you’ll see abundant wildlife and wildflowers.

From the trailhead head southwest along the Conejos River via Three Forks Trail 712. You’ll travel through trees at times, but mostly you’ll be in a wide-open meadow. It’s an easy hike to 1.9 miles and a spot called Three Forks, where the North and Middle Forks of the Conejos River come together with El Rito Azul. At this point Trail 712 is officially called Middle Fork Trail 712."
