Adams Fork to Summit Peak

Adams Fork to Summit Peak Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A hike up the Adams Fork of the Conejos River leads to one of the most beautiful glacier-carved valleys in all of the South San Juans. Adams Fork is also a mecca for animal life and wildflowers. Look for elk, deer, snowshoe hares, and birdlife galore.

The region is a wonderful place for a base camp from which to explore. Summit Peak, the highest point in Archuleta County, offers 360-degree views to New Mexico, the San Juan Mountains, the La Garita Mountains, the San Luis Valley, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains."
