Wapiti Trail Professional Reviews and Guides

"Like most of the trails in the Brainard Lake area, this trail is for rock hounds. There is a fair amount of climbing from Peaceful Valley on the well-known Sourdough Trail to the Wapiti-Baptiste cross country ski trail, so be in shape.

The Wapiti-Baptiste trail is primarily downhill over challenging small, loose rocks. Pick your way slowly along the Wapiti-Baptiste Trail or you may find yourself over the handlebars. Terrain: Loose rocks and gravel, roots and steps."

Good challenge. Took me 2.5 hrs to get to the peak and then 1.5hrs to come down. Tough for me because I am not used to the the high altitudes..... But lots of fun and some great scenery!
