"Round Mountain is a difficult hike to the summit of Sheep Mountain above the Big Thompson River and Canyon. The trail is a steady uphill grade with a forgiving and welcome descent after the summit. It is easy to navigate, with mile markers and informational signs full of trail trivia. Foothills Interpretive Nature Trail and Summit Adventure Trail both originate from Round Mountain trailhead"

Awesome hike with some moderate climbing. Defintely bring water with you, and keep an eye on the weather. Last 1/2 mile or so you are completely exposed and up top there's no cover. Great views and a lot of fun.

Short Hike, beautiful views. I would suggest this hike in early fall after the weather cools down. Bring your camera and breakfast or lunch for the top.
