Great trail, well maintained, saw 5 deer (so cute) it's really more like 6 miles one way to the tower. The views from the tower are amazing.

Shadow Mountain Lookout trail begins just ouside of Grand Lake, Co & follows the shoreline of Shadow Mountain Lake for the first 1.75 miles. This trail then climbs to the ridgeline that the trail follows for a mile or two before climbing to the lookout. The views from the lookout down to Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lake are spectacular.
