Summit Peak via Quartz Creek

Summit Peak via Quartz Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Summit Peak can be reached via many routes. This one is perhaps the longest and most strenuous, but it’s a good hike all the same. The views are tremendous once you climb out of the drainage. Best of all, most all of the hike is located in the wilderness.

There’s an easier way to get to the top of Summit Peak, but you won’t travel through nearly 8 miles of wilderness via that route. Quartz Creek Trail is the best choice for a true wilderness adventure. Please note that high-clearance, four-wheel-drive vehicles are preferred for both roads because of several creek and river crossings. During some periods river crossings are impossible for any vehicle."
