Just one piece of advice: if you have a 2-wheel drive vehicle, don't attempt to drive from the first trail head to the actual Capitol Creek trailhead!! It's not terrible in good weather, but a little unnerving, especially with the turned over vehicle at the top of one of the climbs. We survived, but on a wetter day or with a little lower vehicle (we were in a Chevy Malibu rental), it could've been disastrous. We actually didn't make the hike due to high winds, but the area was beautiful in the fall!!
