This short and easy loop takes you past towering rock formations created by erosion of the Ancestral Rocky Mountains. Early Native Americans created shelters under over-hanging rocks. While hiking along, use your imagination to ?nd various shapes in the red towers. Golden eagles and cli? swallows ?nd nesting sites on rock ledges, where white droppings betray their homes. Interpretive signs explain the park’s natural features and geologic history. For people in the south Denver metro area, this park provides a convenient place for a quick workout or just to enjoy a beautiful piece of hogback valley.
