"Beautiful Kelly Lake sits snuggled in a glacial basin between a high ridge to the west and the craggy Medicine Bow Mountains to the east. Overnight backpacking is the best way to explore this pleasant area, but don’t rule out a long day hike to visit this little jewel. The trail starts out on logging roads through meadows, crosses two forks of the Canadian River, and passes through old timber cuts. The middle section of the hike travels on logging roads and singletrack trail. The final section is singletrack, gaining elevation to a scenic high alpine valley full of wildflowers." Read more
