"A 28-mile paved road that ascends to a spectacular 14,264-foot Rocky Mountain peak. The Mount Evans Scenic Byway climbs nearly 7,000 feet into the Colorado Rockies. This is the highest paved road in North America. The two-lane road has frequent turnouts. Traffic is moderately heavy during weekdays, and can be extremely busy during summer and fall-foliage weekends.
