Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park-North Rim Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"You won't believe what a deep and narrow gorge the Black Canyon is until you actually see it. There are many places to access the gorge, but the North Rim is the best. It is the most quiet and boasts the better campground in the park, set on the rim's edge in an ancient pinon-juniper forest.

You can hike along the rim or drop down into the gorge itself, where the fishing is great long a stretch of Colorado's Gold Medal Waters. The best climbing in the state can be done here at "The Black", as it's known in the climbing world."
