Medano Pass Primitive Road is a hiking, biking, and horse trail in Saguache County, Huerfano County, and Alamosa County, Colorado. It is within San Isabel National Forest, Great Sand Dunes National Park, and Great Sand Dunes National Preserve. It is 10.8 miles long and begins at 8,211 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 21.6 miles with a total elevation gain of 2,777 feet. The Medano Pass (elevation 9,984 feet) saddle and the Medano Pass viewpoint are near the trailhead. There is also parking. The Sand Pit parking can be seen along the trail. There are also drinking water and restrooms along the trail.
