Beautiful meadows, ?ower-?lled drainages, views of the plains, and forested areas provide variety on this loop in the northwest section of White Ranch Park. The ranch house and buildings still remain and, along with an interpretive display of old farm implements, create the feeling of being on a real-life ranch. While cattle no longer graze, a herd of mule deer live in the park. Many trails give hikers numerous loop options. Two backcountry campgrounds make it easy to escape the city for a quick overnight. This “remote” area is a pleasant place to hike and explore some Colorado history.
