White Ranch Professional Review and Guide
"White Ranch offers grueling climbs, steep and narrow descents, and tight switchbacks. The route described here includes all of these features but is still only a small sampling of what White Ranch has to offer. With steep grades, loose rock and plastic erosion bars strewn across the trail, the initial climb from the parking lot is one of the toughest on the Front Range.
From there, riders are offered fast descents along precipitously sloping terrain and through mixed conifer and pinon forests. Though close to Golden, Boulder, and Denver, White Ranch is seldom crowded, largely due to its being viewed as a more advanced area to mountain bike. Terrain: Singletrack and doubletrack which runs over very rocky terrain, as well as very smooth, forested terrain."
