Elk Trail is a hiking, biking, and horse trail in Gilpin County, Colorado. It is within Golden Gate Canyon State Park. It is 2.1 miles long and begins at 9,180 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 4.2 miles with a total elevation gain of 917 feet. The Bootleg Bottom Picnic Area and Ole Barn Knoll Picnic Area picnic sites, Ole Barn Knoll Picnic Area, Bootleg Bottom Picnic Area, and other parkings, and the Park Map information are near the trailhead. There are also restroom.
