Grizzly Creek Gulch

Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Grizzly Creek Gulch Professional Review and Guide

"A remarkably friendly way to reach the interior of the otherwise formidable Glenwood Canyon, the trail enters a side canyon cut by the rushing Grizzly Creek. The first 0.25 mile is suitable for kids, but the trail later gets more challenging.

As the path climbs toward a series of waterfalls, it parallels the stream and is flanked by massive, colorful canyon walls showcasing some of Colorado’s complex geology. Note that part of the trail is open to mountain bikers, but the whole path is closed to ATVs."

This trail is nice, but in need of some serious hedge trimming! after the first manicured .25 miles, the brush got so think that I could hardly see the trail. The end of the trail is marked by the only cairn. There aren't any great sights to see.
