Mount Evans Wilderness: Mount Evans Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"There are approximately 12 different ways to reach this fourteener summit. The Sawtooth option allows hikers to summit two fourteeners in one day—both Mount Bierstadt and Mount Evans. Generally, summit Mount Bierstadt first and then Mount Evans since the peaks are 1.5 miles apart.

The West Ridge option is a good out-and-back hike on the less popular side of Mount Evans. Most tourists access Mount Evans from Echo Lake or Mount Evans Road on the east and northeast side."

started around 7 and was on the road by 12:30 and the mt storms were developing. There is a small log bridge to cross the creek. At the top the trail is hard to find in all the rocks so most people made their own. There was a lot of people in the high hundreds. There is parking lots but you can also park on the side of the road. It was a great day for a hike!
