Saint Louis Creek Loop

Saint Louis Creek Loop Professional Review and Guide

"Traversing a loop on foot provides different scenery and gradients, depending on whether you pursue a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. This clockwise route description of the Saint Louis Creek Loop is less frequently chosen by nordic skiers or snowshoers but is equally enjoyable.

Begin your tour to the east on the road into the parking area and turn right (south) on County Road 73, the Saint Louis Creek Road. Within 200 yards, proceed around a road barrier and continue up the wide road for 1.5 miles to a four-way intersection. The King Creek Road rises on the left and a steep shortcut of the Saint Louis Creek Loop rises on the right. Continue straight (south) on the wide road for 1 mile to a sign and road junction, after passing the Byers Peak Campground on the left."
