The Douglas Reservoir State Wildlife Area near Fort Collins is a great place to enjoy a relaxing day on the water engaged in leisurely boating and fishing. It’s a great spot to fish for trout and bass (though you may catch plenty of other kinds of fish here as well). It’s also an ideal place to kick back, relax and watch for wildlife. Note that boaters must not do so in a manner that would create a whitewater wake – such actions are strictly prohibited. Camping is not allowed here – this area is designated specifically for fishing. And it's a great spot to do just that!
