Kerr Gulch

Evergreen, Colorado

Kerr Gulch Professional Review and Guide

"A compact, part-dirt route incorporating the excellent Kerr Gulch climb. Kerr Gulch Road is a bike-friendly road with a backcountry feel, climbing through ranch land from Kittredge to Bergen Park. When this book was in the earliest stages, I knew that Kerr Gulch Road would, somehow, become a part of it. It’s a local favorite for good reasons: Traffic is generally quiet, the road snakes around delightfully, the grades are tame, and the landscape is bucolic.

The problem with Kerr is that it’s kind of a loner of a road. Between Kittredge and the Evergreen Parkway, the roads that branch off from Kerr Gulch don’t really cooperate by forming any good loop opportunities. Unfortunately we have to cross (or use) the freeway-esque Evergreen Parkway."
