Lake Nanita

Lake Nanita Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"There may be other lakes in the national park that rank with Nanita for beauty, but none surpass it. The trek to Lake Nanita winds gently through mostly lodgepole pine forest beset
by beetles and varied by North Inlet, a creek that flows into the north side of Grand Lake.

Where beleaguered forest opens to meadows, watch for moose. A worthwhile, less-ambitious hike culminates at redundantly named Cascade Falls. The falls present themselves to photographers most attractively from the bottom."
